Pokedefense – Play Online | Pokémon Tower Defense Guide

PokéDefense is a free, fan-made browser tower-defense game published under the NIRVANA label. The official site lists a Story campaign across eight regions, with all 151 Pokémon shown as catchable. Other modes include Daily Puzzle, Daily Challenge, Weekly, Classic, Endless, Hardcore and Battle Tower, each offering a different way to play.

You assemble a team, use type matchups, and place Pokémon on grass beside the incoming route. In Classic's Route 1, you start with 120 lives and 700 PokéDollars. Battle Tower has its own structure: a two-Pokémon draft, ten waves per floor and a boss.

PokéDefense is not the original Pokémon Tower Defense by SamAndDan. That earlier Flash game is a separate project, so search for PokéDefense when you want this NIRVANA browser game.

Click Play above to start Pokedefense, then pick a mode. In a Classic map, check the route and your starting resources before wave one. On Route 1, for example, you begin with 120 lives and 700 PokéDollars.

Build your team from the starter list, which offers six choices, and add more from the egg shop. A team can hold up to 12 Pokémon. Tap a Pokémon to check its stats, abilities and type matchups before you commit it to the map.

Tap a map location or drag a selected Pokémon onto grass to place it along the route. When your setup is ready, press Start Wave to launch the next attack. Press R to restart the map.

For a different challenge, Battle Tower uses a two-Pokémon draft, ten waves on each floor and a boss. After wave five and after each boss, you choose one of three cards to shape the next stage of the climb.
