Daily Red brings the shared daily challenge format into six-Pokémon battles. Your team changes each day, while Red keeps the same lineup: Pikachu, Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, all at level 100. That fixed opponent gives you a stable target to solve with a different set of Pokémon each day. The browser version runs on Pokémon Showdown's battle simulator using Generation 3 rules. Abilities and held items follow that generation, including Gengar's Ground immunity from Levitate. Because a move's type determines whether it is physical or special, knowledge from newer games should be checked against these rules. The battle log, HP changes and switching option make each turn easier to follow. You can see what the opponent did and whether a move was effective before choosing your next action. Practice runs let you test these interactions without recording a daily result. The game is free, needs no account, and stores wins and streaks in your browser. It is an unofficial fan project inspired by the original Daily Red project. The browser version has its own setup and may differ from the original locally run FireRed-emulator version.
How to Play the Daily Red Pokemon Game
Controls
Click Play Now above to load the game and check today's six Pokémon. Every player receives the same level-100 team, drawn from Generations 1–3. Review each member's moves and choose which Pokémon you want to send out first. From the start screen, choose the official daily attempt or a Practice run. Red always opens with Pikachu. On each turn, pick a move or switch Pokémon, then read the HP bars, remaining PP and battle log before deciding your next action. Effectiveness hints show how a move matches up against its target. Use the matchup in front of you as your guide. The official tips suggest a Ground-type lead against Pikachu's Electric attacks, and Rock moves against Charizard, which takes extra damage from Rock. Against Snorlax, physical Fighting attacks are recommended. For Espeon, Dark, Ghost and Bug moves are listed as useful choices. Switching uses your turn, but it can bring in a better answer for the next opponent. An attack that worked against Pikachu may be a poor choice once Red sends out Charizard, so check each new matchup instead of repeating the same move. The Practice run shows how the opponent changes after a knockout, which helps you learn the sequence before your official attempt. Remember that this version uses Generation 3 battle rules. A move's type decides whether it is physical or special, not the per-move split used in later games. If an ability interaction surprises you, check the game's rules. After finishing the official attempt, you can share a spoiler-free result grid to compare with friends. A new team arrives at midnight in your local time zone. Only one official battle counts each day; Practice runs let you experiment without affecting your streak. Keep using the same browser to keep your locally saved record.

Where can I play the Daily Red Pokemon game?
Click Play Now above to load the game, check today's team and choose a lead. When you're ready, start the official daily attempt, or try a Practice run first to test the matchups.
When will a new team unlock?
A new team arrives at midnight in your local time zone. Every player receives the same six-Pokémon team for that day's challenge.
Can I learn the matchups without using my official result?
Yes. Choose Practice run on the start screen before starting the official attempt. Practice battles are labelled as not recorded, so they do not affect your daily streak.
Do my wins follow me to another browser?
Not automatically. Wins and streaks are saved in the browser on the current device, and no account is required. An unfinished official battle is kept so you can return to it.
Why can move categories differ from modern Pokémon games?
This version uses Generation 3 rules, where a move's type decides whether its damage is physical or special. Ghost and Poison moves are physical, and abilities and held items also follow Generation 3.
Is this a free official Nintendo release?
No. It is free to play without an account, but it is an unofficial fan project and is not endorsed by Nintendo or The Pokémon Company.
