Friday Fighters Game – Play Online & Learn the Fighters

Friday Fighters is LMG's free 2D fighting fan game inspired by Friday, Next Friday and Friday After Next. It is an unofficial tribute, not a licensed film release. The game runs in a browser at fridayfighters.com, and the site also offers an install option for offline play.

The official roster lists 40 fighter slots across the trilogy: 15 from Friday (1995), 14 from Next Friday (2000) and 11 from Friday After Next (2002). A character who appears in more than one film may have a separate version with its own moves, so the slot count does not necessarily mean 40 entirely different characters.

Each mode in this Friday fighting game has its own goal. Arcade is a seven-fight ladder, and the final boss is Deebo, Joker or Robber Santa depending on the movie group you choose. One Last Friday is a 12-chapter story across the three films that saves after each victory. Training lets you practice inputs before a real match. VS CPU, local Versus, CPU Showcase and Online are also on the menu. Arcade, VS CPU and local Versus support 1v1 or local 2v2 tag-team play, while online matches are 1v1. Online uses matchmaking or a private four-letter room code, and local Versus works with one shared keyboard or two gamepads.

Matches are best-of-three rounds with a 99-second timer. Combat goes beyond basic punches and kicks: you can block, dash, use specials and call a sidekick assist. After a hit, tapping light punch again can continue an automatic combo. In 2v2, a benched fighter recovers some health. The meter holds up to three bars, and each fighter has four throwables per round, so timing and resource use matter in every fight.

Friday Fighters Stage Backgrounds

Click Play Now above, then press Enter at the Press Start screen. For a straightforward first fight, choose Arcade, then 1v1. Move through the fighter grid, select your main fighter, then pick a sidekick.

In the arena, learn spacing before trying every attack. Move into range, block an incoming strike and answer with a light punch. Once a punch lands, tap light punch again to extend an auto-combo. Add heavy punches, kicks, specials and the sidekick assist once that basic exchange feels comfortable. Keep an eye on the health bars, the 99-second timer and your meter rather than throwing attacks without a target. Esc pauses the fight.

A Super costs one meter bar, and the meter holds up to three bars. Ultras are free for the first two uses, then cost three bars. You also get four throwables per round. Use them when an opponent is in range instead of holding everything back for a perfect finish. Matches are best of three rounds, so losing the first round is still recoverable.

Arcade is a seven-fight ladder where you can choose 1v1 or 2v2, and each film group ends with its own boss. In a tag-team fight, a fighter on the bench recovers some health, so switching can protect a weakened teammate. Training is the place to rehearse inputs before you tackle the ladder. VS CPU is a match against the computer, and CPU Showcase is also on the menu.

For story-based progression, choose One Last Friday in Story Mode. Its 12 chapters span the three Friday films; progress saves after each win, and after a loss you can retry. To play with a friend beside you, choose local Versus with one shared keyboard or two gamepads. Online offers matchmaking or a private room with a four-letter code. On a phone, use the game's on-screen touch controls.
