Moonshot Daily Game — Play Online & Learn the Scoring

Moonshot is a daily category word game with a space-mission theme. The challenge is to judge how likely other people are to give the same answer, then change that judgement when the round changes. An answer that scores well in one phase can be a weak choice in the next, so the same topic can test you in two different ways.

Common vs Blue Moon and The Ladder play differently. The first moves you from popular answers to obscure ones, while the second gives you a rarity target to hit as closely as you can. Categories change with the daily missions, so don't expect the same topics every time you play.

Streaks, past results and your chosen sky are kept in your browser. An optional account lets your flight history, streak and pass follow you across devices. According to the privacy notice, daily missions can be played without giving personal information, while accounts, crews, duels and the Flight Pass are for players aged 13 and older.

For your first session, focus on the rarity each round asks for before chasing a perfect score. A quick everyday answer and a carefully chosen deep cut are useful in different situations, and the ×1.5 next-answer bonus rewards you for following up a strong answer with another good one.

Click Play Now above to open the game, then choose one of today's missions. Common vs Blue Moon gives you two categories, with three common answers followed by three rare answers for each. The Ladder asks you to match a randomly chosen rarity across four spins. Before you type, read the category and the instruction for the current round.

In Common vs Blue Moon, the first round rewards familiar answers that many people would name. Each answer has a 15-second window and helps charge the launch boost. The number-one answer is worth up to 100 points before timing affects the award, so it helps to have a good, obvious answer ready early. The second round flips the goal: you get 30 seconds per answer to find something valid but much less obvious.

The rare round has six tiers. Common answers give 5 base points, Uncommon 20, Rare 40, Legendary 60, Mythic 80 and Blue Moon 100. Blue Moon answers are the five hand-picked deep cuts for each category. An unusual phrase is not automatically a good answer, because it still has to fit the category and be accepted by the game.

The Ladder is about precision, not always picking the rarest answer. An exact rung earns 100 base points, one rung away earns 40 and two rungs away earns 15. You have 30 seconds per answer, and faster answers earn more. Rungs are randomized, so check the target before you answer.

After each submission, check the feedback and adjust for the next prompt. Wrong guesses do not cost points, so a reasonable attempt is better than leaving the clock to run out. A bullseye, a top-three answer or a Mythic or Blue Moon find can make your next answer worth ×1.5. Daily play is free. The optional Flight Pass adds unlimited flights and social modes, and it is not required for the daily missions.

Is the rarest answer always the best choice?
