Any Human Ever is an interactive historical-demography experience that turns a random birth year and location into a statistical life story. Its timeline explains how population growth affects the chance of drawing a birth near the present, while a world map shows where population clusters were concentrated for the selected period. The result is not a biography of an identifiable historical person. It is a generated narrative built from population data, estimates, and other labeled material. The project's Sources page distinguishes extracted and derived information from attributed or contextual data, and notes that authored gap-fill material is uncited and carries greater uncertainty. Treat each drawn story as an interpretation of statistical patterns, not a documented individual's life.

Any Human Ever Game Questions
How do you draw a life in Any Human Ever?
Start a random draw, then move through the year, location, and life stages. You can redraw or select a year and place before continuing, and the Life screen shows demographic odds before the story is generated.
What changes between the log and linear timeline?
The When screen lets you switch the birth timeline's axis between log and linear scales. The project explains that population grew exponentially, making a random birth more likely to fall near the present.
How does the historical population map help choose a place?
The Where stage displays a world map for the selected time period, with brighter clusters representing places where more people lived. Draw another location or choose one on the map before continuing.
What data sources does Any Human Ever use?
Its Sources page lists datasets and scholarship and labels extracted, derived, attributed, contextual, authored, and mixed material. The project warns that authored gap-fill values are uncited and have greater uncertainty.
